Simulation of Change Management

We are honoured to introduce a unique business simulation game designed by the team at The Centre of Advanced Learning Technologies of INSEAD led by Professor Albert Angehrn.

This simulation has been used by several thousand alumni of Executive MBA INSEAD, as well as students of MIT, London School of Economics, Stanford University, Wharton and many others top management schools. It is used likewise in many international organizations, BMW, Cisco, Credit Suisse and IKEA amongst others, as an active learning tool for change management by Boards and top management.

Participants are divided into a few teams and their goal is to implement a specific business change. Each team has a set of implementation tools and limited time. After each decision they get feedback on how it influences the effectiveness of change and behaviour of involved people.

The game triggers strong emotions connected with ambition to implement change as wide as possible, team work and competition with other teams. When discussing the game it is possible to draw conclusions upon main mistakes made when managing change and methods of effective implementation of a change. The game and discussion is down to earth and ends with translating drawn conclusions to specific situations and challenges of client’s business.

We use the simulation as:
  • An inspiration when doing a workshop with a Board/top management
  • An element of our Academy of Management
  • A part of our two-day training on Change Management
  • A follow up of our development programme on Change Management

More information and demo version of this game is to be found here. There is also a leaflet in English.
